Are you searching for a western pearl snap shirt? There are numerous places to find snap buttons shirts. Where does one start? You can purchase a Western shirt from many online retailers (that offer several well-known brands), eBay stores that sell vintage western shirts, local western and tack shops and upscale clothing boutiques. Don’t assume western shirts are only worn by cowboys, professional rodeo riders or members of a country music band; many people wear snap buttons shirts for various daily endeavors whether at work or play.
In my search for snap button shirts I was surprised at the variety of places carrying snap shirts – not just western shirt styles but a variety of shirt styles using snap buttons. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have found most of my shirts at various thrift stores. I have only bought a couple of snap shirts from a “normal” store – and it was a discount store. Part of the excitement for me is finding a well-known brand name shirt at a local Goodwill or community thrift store. I don’t get the pleasure of having the variety of colors or styles found in retail or online stores but I do get the reward of only paying a few dollars for a decent shirt.
There are so many unique places to find a guy’s snap button shirt, (many of the same stores sell snap shirts for women) I thought I would start a list of places both available online and at a physical stores where you can purchase a shirt. Many large online retailers carry several brand name western shirts and provide you hundreds of styles, colors, patterns and sizes to choose from. Other retailers offer only a couple of styles and there are even some shops that make a one-of-kind shirt for you.
Here is a list of places to buy snap button shirts. I have arranged them by these five categories:

A list of western clothing shops or brands that either have online stores or physical locations where you can visit to try on shirts or other Western style clothes. These stores are located in the United States.
Located in northern Indiana in the town of Mishawaka. Al-Bar Ranch carries the following western shirt brands: Ariat, Cinch, Panhandle and Wrangler.
Alcala’s is located in Chicago and has become one of the largest retailers of Western wear in the Midwest. They offer a large selection of quality western boots and clothing. Alcala’s is a piece of the Lone Star State in the Windy City. Featured western shirt brands include: Circle S, Ely Cattleman, Panhandle Slim, Maxini, Mariscal, Pendleton, Rangers, Resistol, Rockmount Ranch Wear, Roper, Scully and Western Express.
“Where Cowboys and Cowgirls Shop”. This online store features a large collection of cowboy shirts from brands such as Roper, Stetson, Scully and Tin Haul. You can choose various styles from denims to plaid colors. They offer custom embroidery and monogramming for an additional fee.
Boot Barn has over 200 stores in 29 states and a website stocked full of western clothing. They carry an impressive selection of western shirts including the following brands: Cody James, Wrangler, Ryan Michael, Ely Cattleman, Roper, Panhandle, Moonshine Spirit, Scully, Rock & Roll Cowboy, Pendleton, Resistol, Mountain Khaki, Cowboy Hardware and more. Find a Boot Barn store in your area by using the store locator.
The website only features a snap button shirt from Rockmount. I bet if you visit their store in Melbourne, Florida they would have more of a selection to choose from.
Cavender’s — “Don’t Just Wear It. Live It.” — has been providing quality western clothes since 1965. Visit one of their 80 stores scattered across 11 states from Colorado to Alabama (the majority of the stores appear to be in Texas). Use the Cavender’s store locator to find the closest shop to visit. Their website features western snap button shirts from the following brands: Cinch, Rafter C, Wrangler, Rock & Roll Cowboy, Panhandle, Ely Cattleman, Larro and Stetson.
This online store features three premium cotton western shirt patterns hand made in Texas.
CINCH , Miller Ranch and Garth Brooks Seven

Don Walker’s Western Wear
If you are on your way to Panama City Beach, Florida and find yourself on Highway 231 in Troy, Alabama stop in at Don Walker’s Western Wear and check out their western shirts, boots and trucker caps from a variety of western brands.

Located in downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I have visited this store and they have a wide variety of western shirts, boots, cowboy hats and other clothing to complete your outfit while visiting this ski town.
J.C Western Wear is “Florida’s Oldest Western Store” with locations in Jupiter and West Palm Beach. You can find the following western shirt brands at J.C. Western: Ariat, Cinch, Ely Shirts, Levis, Old West, Panhandle, Rangers, Resistol, Rockmount, Roper, Ryan Michael, Scully, Stetson, Tin Haul and Wrangler.
Langston’s Western Wear has been serving the western culture and lifestyle community for over 100 years. Read all about the history of the Langston store in central Oklahoma. Proper Cloth has very cool feature on their website that allows you to design your own western snap button shirt. Use the Design-A-Shirt tool to select your shirt’s fabric, collar, cuff, front placket, yoke design and snap buttons. They have hundreds of fabric choices to choose from in this design process. Once you are done designing your shirt it will be truly unique to you. They also have few snap button shirts already tailored.

Located in Austin, Texas. This shop offers various hand crafted products made right in Austin. They have a unique selection of men’s western shirts and can make custom pieces. Reach out to them if you need a one-of-a-kind shirt.
Local Thrift and Consignment Shops
Don’t forget to check for western snap button shirts at your local thrift stores or consignment shops. Where I live in Cincinnati, Ohio I have found the majority of my snap button shirts at local Goodwill stores, St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores and at Plato’s Closet. Chances are you will find all types of brands and get shirts for only a few dollars. This is a good way to give snap button shirts a try in your wardrobe.
